a piece for dvd player and audio/visual display
conceived and created in 2001 by bryce beverlin II
the name racecar is a palindrome . using a dvd player which displays like so:
[ track# o:oo ] palindromes will occur in numbers ie. 1 23:21 on the display
each palindrome in this format will coincide with an event in the audio/visual display
visual is racecar with a number superimposed, the total number of
seconds elapsed ; audio is racecar with a tone superimposed, a sine wave of frequency equal to the total number of seconds elapsed
racecar is intended for installation into performance or gallery space,
a performance as a solo visual/audio screening, or home viewing.
